Roseville’s UEC Hosts a Fun-Filled Event at its Voltage Vampire Exhibit

The City of Roseville is excited to host a family oriented, fun and educational event on Saturday, October 26 from 10 to 1 p.m. at the Utility Exploration Center (UEC).  For the month of October, the UEC is hosting an exhibit called “Voltage Vampires.” The goal is to educate the community on the importance of unplugging common at-home items when not in use. This free event will be fun and educational for families with the Halloween themed exhibit and pumpkin carving activity.

Kids can look forward to enjoying this event along with their families. Roseville Electric’s Count Watts will be in attendance and there will be a designated pumpkin carving area to get creative. Count Watts is a hit with the kids, and parents can bring their cameras and take photos of the kids with him if desired. Count Watts and his friends at the UEC want guests to come and learn about “watt vampires” and how they can help to save energy.  After attendees carve their pumpkins they can receive a free power-strip by showing their pumpkin at the Count Watts exhibit.

All visitors can receive a ghost themed comic book and will be directed toward the “10 Steps to Save” and “In Home Audit” informational exhibits. Visitors can to enter to win a power strip by visiting the exhibit and filling out a ticket with their information and the three biggest “electricity vampires” in their home; winners will be announced on Halloween.  All are welcome to kick off their Halloween weekend at this fun-filled educational day at Roseville’s UEC.
